Quick-Lock Point Repair

Mechanical point repair system providing an alternative to patch repair

The UHRIG Quick-Lock system is much more than just a repair procedure. The patented Quick-Lock-System based on compression and the durable materials V4A stainless steel and EPDM has proven itself in the renovation of pipes over many years, in any common wastewater, well or drinking water pipe system.

In addition to the classic application as a repair method in sewer rehabilitation, the Quick-Lock system is also used for connecting pipe liner systems and for rehabilitating walkable sewers. Ranging from DN 150 to DN 800 (and even over 2m on request)It can be installed horizontally or vertically, above or below water level.

Certified by WRc, DIBt, and ASTM, and NSF for potable water applications, it is manufactured from high quality materials and is durable.

Quick-Lock Liner end seals are also available, to seal the gap between a CIPP liner and the host pipe.

Training is available in the installation of Quick-Lock products for drainage engineers to gain confidence and experience in the techniques involved.  Please contact the S1E Team to arrange: 01226 397015

Successfully used for many years as a repair procedure for closed sewer renovation.

  • The Quick-Lock system seals damaged pipes mechanically, without chemicals and regardless of the pipe material.
  • Using the patented Quick-Lock locking system, a secure seal of the EPDM rubber to the pipe is guaranteed.
  • Once in position, the Quick-Lock absorbs movement within the pipe line, maintaining the seal.
  • For longer areas of damage, Quick-Lock sleeves are used in series one after the other.
  • Quick-Lock can be used to repair all common types of pipe:Vitrified clay pipes, Concrete pipes, Plastic pipes, Glass-reinforced plastic pipes, Cast iron pipes, Steel pipes.

Quick-Lock is a seamless assembly system for localised repairs.

  • Swift and simple installation process.
  • Long-lasting materials:1.4404 (316L) stainless steel with EPDM rubber as standard.
  • NBR rubber available on request, or special KTW-approved seal for drinking water applications.
  • Resistant to high-pressure jetting in accordance with DIN 19523.
  • Low investment in system technology.
  • Portable equipment for hard-to-reach sites.
  • Can resist up to 10 bar internal pipe pressure when installed.
  • Can be used for point repair prior to linings.

Quick-Lock installation equipment is available to hire as well as purchase.  Call the team on 01226 397015 or email contact@s1e.co.uk to discuss your requirements.

Technical Data:Stainless steel sleeve & Rubber jacket

  1. Flared end – The flared end faces the direction of flow and improves the hydrodynamics, prevents solids from depositing and increases jetting resistance.
  2. Metal overlap – The steel sleeve is rolled up smaller than its nominal diameter. The overlap is what is left over for expanding to the pipe wall.
  3. Toothed strip – The locks that keep the sleeve expanded run along the toothed strip.
  4. Lock – The lock is a small set of gears that only moves in one direction, thus keeping the sleeve expanded.
  5. Circumferential seals – The actual seal is formed by the circumferential seals compressed against the host pipe. The damaged section must always be between these seals.

Additionally:

  1. Trimming line – There is a trimming line marked in the rubber jacket. It shows you where to cut off the projecting rubber end when a single sleeve is installed.
  2. Projecting rubber end – The projecting rubber end acts as a seal between sleeves when installed in series.
