About the role:

We are looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our proactive sales team, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30–17:00 and Friday 08:30–16:00. This office-based role will involve making proactive sales calls to new and existing clients, responding to sales and technical enquiries, and building strong customer relationships to support the Company’s strategic objectives. The role also includes generating and qualifying leads, maintaining the customer database, negotiating within agreed parameters, and working closely with the Sales Office Manager and Marketing Department to help drive sales growth and support the wider sales strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact new and existing clients to build and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Respond to sales and technical enquiries via phone, email or in person, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Generate, qualify and follow up on leads in line with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Negotiate with clients within agreed parameters to support sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain the customer database.
  • Support the development of price lists and pricing structures, suggesting improvements based on market conditions and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with the Sales Office Manager and Marketing Department to increase sales and support the wider sales and marketing strategy.
  • Monitor and report on sales activity and assist with preparing sales action plans where required.
  • Represent the company at UK and international sales events and participate in relevant training programmes.
  • Work in a safe manner, reporting concerns where necessary, and comply with company procedures to support continual environmental improvement.

Requirements:
Essential:

  • Experience working in a proactive internal sales role.
  • Experience building and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Exceptional customer support service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic business principles.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organised and accurate.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Good team player.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a previous technical role.
  • Knowledge of drainage rehabilitation products.
  • Previous experience within the construction or drainage industries.
  • Experience using Sage ERP software.
